Finally, a fashion show that celebrates and pays tribute to our curvy and beautiful Pacific Island ladies, is set for the month of May!
True South is an exciting fashion event that will showcase clothing designed for our plus-size Islandher women, as a part of the 2012 Pacific Arts Summit, in the vibrant Polynesian hub of South Auckland.
Talented designers Paula Chan, Lissy Cole, Rachael Phyllis Gabor Duval, Tasha Lee, Czarina Wilson and Visesio Louis Thomsen are on the bill, with entertainment from Deelicious dance crew, Ura Tabu Pacific Dance and Tepaeru-Ariki Lulu French with her recent work Pacific Muse.
The one-night only fashion event takes place on Friday 4 May at the Mangere Arts Centre, starting at 8pm (Don’t come on island time, otherwise you’ll miss out on a good viewing spot!)
Tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for group bookings (10+). These can be purchased from the Mangere Arts Centre or from Eventfinder.
