The new Miss Tokelau Peki Teata has won her crown on home soil in Atafu, Tokelau.
She won against two other contestants and is now preparing to represent her island nation at the Miss South Pacific pageant in American Samoa next month on December 8.

Work by Pasifika artists, John Pule, Janet Lilo and Siliga Setoga is on show at Massey University’s College of Creative Arts in Wellington.
The three artists are from varied Pasifika origins, though they share Niuean roots.
The exhibition, Tame, Lologa & Ata, explores the subject of identity through the mediums of photography, poetry and performance.

Arrielle La’asaga Tuilefano Maloata has been crowned Miss American Samoa 2012.
Sponsored by I’a Vai Creations, Arrielle won a number of awards including Best Traditional Wear and Puletasi.
The 21 year old will now compete in the Miss South Pacific pageant, also held in American Samoa in December.

Filoi Vailaau and Lima Manu, along with a 3 piece live band, will feature in Temp Dance Festival’s final showcase for 2012, ‘Duets’, dancing to a Samoan classic, Moe Te’ite’i, by Penina o Tiafau.
Filoi is hoping that the performance will be appreciated by the Samoans in the audience, many of whom will have never have seen a Samoan duet before.
